For thousands of years horses have roamed around the plains and valleys of the
world. Through instinct they knew what their nutritional needs were in their day to
day life. For example, what to eat during different seasons, during pregnancy, or
during a colic spell. Once man discovered horses, we started to make these
nutritional decisions for them. At first only domesticating a small number of horses
when people lived more sustainable, maintaining an organic diet for their livestock
was a bit easier. As the years have gone on there are more horses in stalls than in
valleys, relying on us to make those nutritional choices for them. Needless to say in
this fast paced world we tend to pick convenience over health.
